Stimulus Social Club

I recently accepted a position on the Auxiliary Board for Stimulus Social Club and I could not be more excited.  If you are not familiar, SSC is a network of socially conscious professionals in the Chicago area who choose to give back to local charities, while supporting local businesses. Their goal is to help turn up the volume on the needs of both local charitable organizations and Chicago’s restaurant and nightlife venues. Each month, they host an event an a different (hip!) venue with a different (incredibly deserving!) charitable beneficiary. Events are held on the first Wednesday of every month from 5:30-9:00pm. As of 4/4/13, they’ve raised $204,000 for local charities. Amazing, right?

Today is May’s event. Tonight we’ll be at Chuck’s Manufacturing located at 224 N. Michigan Avenue.  {$10 cash at the door gets you a free drink and appetizers from 6-7pm.} This month’s charity is Between Friends whose mission is to break the cycle of domestic violence and build a community free of abuse.

Easy peasy, right? Give back while having a great time.

Hope to see you there!
